Saturday 1st Feb fly to Griffith (New South Wales) for 3 Nights

Rice, Almond and Melon Farms
Aerial Crop spraying demonstration flight. Winery Tour
4th Feb Fly to Melbourne for 1 night.(Victoria)
5th to 8th Feb Mount Gambia, (South Australia, just over the border from Victoria)
Hosts James & Robyn Mann, Donovan Dairies.
Donovan’s currently produces 19-21 million litres of milk from 680ha of irrigation under 14 pivots and dryland pasture in a 700mm rainfall zone. Milking over 2,000 cows.
Other businesses in the area include cereal growing, McCains Potato processing plant a sheep station Timber business and a beef farm.
9th Feb Fly via Melbourne to Launceston, Tasmania for 3 nights

He currently farms around 1600 acres of which about 1300 is cropped and irrigated and the rest grazing land. He grows potatoes for seed, wheat, barley, grass seeds, various small seeds, poppies for pharmaceutical use, forage rape, onions and vining peas. He has about 1000 breeding ewes, also fattens bought-in lambs and grazes young stock for dairy farmers. The farm is fertile, well set out, very up to date and benefits from access to irrigation.
There are plenty of other farms and landscape features in Tasmania to visit which Peter can arrange, including the capital Hobart which is a great city to visit and contains Mona – the museum of old and new art, which has international acclaim.
12th Feb Leave Hobart and return to the UK via Perth arrive 05:05 Thursday 13th Feb 2020.
Approximate cost is expected to be £3,500 to £4,000 per person. All claimable through your business as a “Farm Study Tour”.
We will of course try to get a better price once we know how many potentially we have touring. This price is based on a tour party size of 10.
